Yvonne Reay13 Jan - 17:27

This year's PRUFC Sporting Dinner is on Friday 7 March at 7.30pm

This year we welcome USA and Sale Sharks rugby player Georgie Perris-Redding who will headline our annual Sporting Dinner at Pocklington Rugby Club on

Friday 7 March at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available on a first come first served basis, priced at £35 per person. The event includes a three course dinner, fundraising auction, guest speaker and music. All funds raised will support the rugby club as it continues to bring sport into the lives of local people.

Last year's sporting dinner attracted more than 75 guests who heard from guest speakers England rugby international Morwenna Talling and former England football captain Carol Thomas. The event raised a significant amount for the club.

Georgie said: “I'm really looking forward to speaking at Pocklington’s annual sporting dinner, it is a fantastic event raising vital funds for grassroots rugby. With the Women’s Rugby World Cup opener only a matter of months away, I am honoured to share my journey this far and continue to build the excitement for what will be a hugely popular and sensational event”

Pocklington Rugby Union Football Club Chair Mark Fletcher said: "We're delighted to once again welcome an international rugby player to our Club. Like all grassroots sports clubs, we rely on events such as these to raise much needed funds to support the running of 17 rugby teams, from age group under 6 through to our men’s and women’s senior sides and our Walking Touch Rugby Rugby group. Please get your tickets secured, have a great evening and help us continue to support rugby in Pocklington."
